Jo Anne Quillian Horne, 90, entered the kingdom of God on September 12, 2021 after a brief illness. Jo Anne was born in Pleasanton, Texas, a city she loved very much. In 1965, she and her beloved husband, Ivan, moved to San Antonio. After her death in 1970, she continued to raise their 3 children, went to higher education and had a rewarding career as a school librarian. In retirement, Grandma-Jo (“GJ”) taught piano, sharing her love of music with all of her grandchildren. She loved life. Reading, embroidery, stamp collecting and baking were just a few of his interests. Her favorite places were Salt Lake City, Utah, where she traveled annually to do genealogical research, and Port Aransas, Texas, where she found peace with her family on the beach.
Jo Anne was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her sons Ivan (Kathy) and David, daughter Sherry (Jon), stepdaughter Ingrid, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many cousins ​​and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Sr., and siblings LaMerle, Roy and Wesley.
