Meet the SBLive 2022 All-State Women’s Soccer Teams Sports News, Scores, Videos, Standings

The 2022 MHSAA football season is on the books after an exciting weekend at the state championships. SBLive Mississippi’s Tyler Cleveland and football journalist Dylan Tribolet have selected the best players from across Magnolia State to be included in SBLive’s 2022 All-State Football Squads. Here is an overview of the honored girls. Congratulations to all our selections!

FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE

Attackers

Kate Smith, Gulfport
The reigning Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year had another stellar season for Gulfport High School, scoring 33 goals while assisting on 21 others.

Olivia Tribolet, Madison Central
The Mississippi center star forward led her team in scoring by playing a part in 27 goals in Madison Central’s run to the 6A North State title game.

Tailynn Remmel, Clinton
The Holmes Community College signee is one of the fastest players in the state and she uses that speed well. She led her team in scoring 14 goals, including 2 playoff goals in Clinton’s run to the 6A state championship game.

Midfielders

Taylor Stewart, Oak Grove
The Southern Miss signee was a danger all over the court this year. The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star led their team in goal and was a key contributor in their regional championship.

Hudson Lindsay, La Fayette
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star was a major player in the 5A State Champion runner-up scoring one goal in the 5A State Championship along with 14 others throughout the season.

Shaelynn Quick, Florence
The Southern Miss signee put her stamp on an amazing season by scoring a goal in the 5A State Championship game which Florence won. She has been key to her team’s success all season with 17 goals and 17 assists in total.

KK Morris, North West Rankin
The leader scored for 6A State Champion Northwest Rankin. Morris scored 26 goals during the year and was selected to the Central Mississippi All-Star Team.

Defenders

Layla Johnson, Gulfport
Gulfport’s undefeated regular season came largely thanks to a phenomenal defense led by the Southern Miss signee who allowed just 10 regular season goals.

Mallory Tapper, Northwest Rankin
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star was arguably the best defender in the state and led her team to the 6A State Championship title. The Southern Miss signee has even managed to score 8 goals this season from his defensive position.

Emily Welch, Northwest Rankin
The Southern Miss signee has been a major player in all 15 Lady Cougars shutouts this season. She has also contributed to 11 goals this season and will play in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Game.

Goalie

Sarah PolkClinton
The Central Mississippi All-Star has kept opposing teams off the board 10 times this season and made several big saves throughout its teams’ run to the 6A state championship game.

SECOND TEAM ALL-STATE

Attackers

Julia Perkins, La Fayette
The North Mississippi All-Star has found himself on the score 27 times this season and was a major player in Lafayette’s run to the 5A State Championship game.

Sammi Jo Doyle, New Albany
The 5A State runner-up striker has had a fantastic season scoring 28 goals in total on the season.

Addie Grace BarnardFlorence
The Central Mississippi All-Star leads the 5A state champion in scoring with 26 goals on the year.

Midfielders

Anna Wheatley, Madison Central
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star had a great final season playing a part in 14 goals for runner-up 6A North State.

Parker St. Amant, Ocean Springs
The Coast All-Star led the offense for a talented Ocean Springs team collecting 22 goals and 10 assists during the season. The 10and the grader was a key contributor to the Southern State finalists.

Christina GuzmanFlorence
The junior midfielder has always been a danger close to goal, contributing 31 goals for the Lady Eagles this season in her side’s run for the 5A State Championship title.

Briley Ross, Lewisburg
Bethel University’s commitment paved the way for a talented Lewisburg team scoring 29 goals during the season.

Defenders

Alexis Trimble, Oxford
The senior defender was an anchor behind the Lady Chargers’ back, playing a major role in their 10 shutouts and leading her side to a regional championship.

Walker Cantrell, Tupelo
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star has foiled numerous attacks this year for the Lady Golden Wave, keeping opposing teams scoreless on 10 occasions.

Raylin DixonBrandon
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star has done a bit of everything for the Lady Bulldogs this year, but her biggest contribution has come as a powerful center back.

Goalie

Kaitlyn Urbanek, Oxford
The junior guard led one of the best defenses in the state by posting a clean sheet 10 times.
