New wind farm project in Scotland with around 35 MW sold to Capital Dynamics

Bremen/London, 5 April 2022 – Energiekontor (ISIN DE0005313506), a leading German project developer and operator of wind and solar farms, has sold another wind farm project in Scotland to Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm. Pines Burn is a 34 MW off-the-shelf, grant-free onshore wind project located in the Scottish Borders, Scotland, and is expected to enter commercial operation in the second half of 2023.

Pines Burn is already the third wind farm project sold by Energiekontor to Capital Dynamics in Scotland after the Longhill and Sorbie wind projects in 2021. Thus, almost 100 MW of Energiekontor’s project pipeline in Scotland has already been successfully sold. .

In addition, Pines Burn is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 0.5 million metric tonnes over its lifetime and generate the equivalent of the electricity consumption of over 23,200 UK households. means per year.
