Y&T has rescheduled two upcoming California shows so singer and guitarist Dave Meniketti can undergo a “critical medical procedure” on February 11.

“The Tracy and Santa Cruz shows have been postponed, but for a different reason: Dave is due for critical medical intervention on Feb. 11,” the band wrote on Facebook. “It’s the earliest his doctor and hospital are available, that’s the only date this month, and it’s important to get it as soon as possible.

“He was then ordered to rest for the first 48 hours after the procedure, so the whole weekend is over for him,” the statement continued. “Thank you for understanding that Dave’s health comes first. He can’t wait to put that need behind him and get back on stage. In the meantime, we all wish him the best.”
